Register for our March Show and Tell Webinar
CCP-volumeEM is pleased to invite you to the second webinar in its Show & Tell series, a 60-minute online talk with Dr Kimberly Meechan (UCL) on Tuesday 17 March at 12:30pm (GMT).
In “Good practices for image analysis software,” Kimberly will explore how developers can make image analysis tools more robust, maintainable and reproducible, covering topics such as automated testing, dependency updates and versioning. Drawing on examples from Fiji and napari plugins, the session will be especially relevant to those working with volume electron microscopy data, although the principles apply widely across image analysis software.
Registration is now open: https://crick.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_EmXH_TAGQG6wWXrFcCfvIg
Dr Kimberly Meechan is a Research Software Engineer at UCL’s Advanced Research Computing Centre, specialising in image analysis software and contributing to open-source projects including Crosshair, MoBIE and BrainGlobe. She holds a PhD from EMBL focused on volume electron microscopy data and has also carried out postdoctoral work at the British Museum on X-ray CT and 3D scans. The talk is open to anyone with an interest in image analysis software, particularly developers of Fiji or napari plugins, or those looking to start creating them. Basic coding knowledge will be helpful. The session is likely to be recorded and shared on the CCP-volumeEM YouTube channel.
