CCP-volumeEM is pleased to invite you to the second webinar in its Show & Tell series, a 60-minute online talk with Dr Piper Fowler-Wright (Rosalind Franklin Institute) on Tuesday 21st April at 12:30pm (GMT).
In this talk, Piper will introduce Jupyter notebooks and explore how they can be used to support clear, reproducible, and shareable computational research. Covering everything from installation and basic usage to kernels, environments, interactive widgets, and good practice in notebook design, the session will provide a practical introduction for those new to notebooks as well as useful guidance for more experienced users.

Dr Piper Fowler-Wright is a research software engineer in the Rosalind Franklin Institute's (RFI) Advanced Research Computing team. He has a background in light-matter physics of organic systems, and has contributed to open source development of the OQuPy and PIBS Python packages. He is currently involved in the CCP-volumeEM project, maintaining the RFI containers for common volume EM software including napari, IMOD, MoBIE and MIB.
